

CAREER TECHNICAL PROGRAMS
A certified nursing assistant, or CNA, helps patients or clients with healthcare needs under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Also known as a Nursing Assistant (NA) a Patient Care Assistant (PCA), or a State Tested Nurse Aid (STNA), the individual who carries this title needs strong work ethic and ability.
A Medical Assistant (MA) is an essential member of the health care delivery team. Trained in both clinical and administrative duties, the medical assistant can serve in multiple capacities at a medical office. Medical assistants are critical members of the team and can sometimes act as a liaison between the physician and patient.
Medical assistants typically complete the following tasks:

Complete patient history and measure vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature)

Assist the physician with patient exams and/or minor office surgeries

Give patient injections as directed

Draw blood and prepare laboratory tests

Schedule patient appointments

Complete insurance forms
Graduates of the program receive a Medical Assisting Certificate




Medical Billing & Coding Program. This comprehensive training program prepares students with the knowledge and practical skills needed to work in physician offices, hospitals, clinics, insurance companies, and other healthcare settings.
Students learn how to accurately assign medical codes, process insurance claims, maintain patient records, and navigate healthcare reimbursement systems. Training includes ICD-10-CM, CPT®, and HCPCS coding systems, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, health insurance procedures, electronic health records (EHR), and compliance regulations.
Patient Care Technicians work alongside doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide direct patient care in a variety of healthcare environments. The Patient Care Technician (PCT) plays a vital role in the healthcare delivery setting, often having more patient contact than any other team member, including doctors and nurses. The PCT Program prepares a graduate to work as a high-quality entry-level Patient Care Technician in a clinic, hospital, wound care center, or long-term care facility. Graduates will be able to check vital signs, perform CPR and First Aid, and assist in medical examinations, performing electrocardiograms (EKGs), basic laboratory procedures, and phlebotomy.
